I have a Brother and a Niece who have lived there for several years, they seem to like it.
We have visited several times, seems like a nice family community.

Maple Ridge is an area we are looking at as well. We found loads of info on the area using the search facility on this forum.

Just had our Meds and waiting for the go ahead....We are also considering Maple Ridge, my sister lives on the Sunshine Coast and recommended it as an area which is both nice and likely to have suitable properties within our budget. You've probably noticed that Vancouver seems a lot more expensive than anywhere else in Canada

yes i would agree with Vancouver being more expensive then anywhere else in Canada, but B.C. it's go to be!

how did you use search facility in this forum? did you just type in Maple Ridge in the search bar above? ( please excuse my dumb question, i'm a total techno-phobe)

There's a pinkish bar across the screen below the BritishExpats logo. It starts with Forum Index. The 8th button in the bar is "Search". Click on that and a box appears, type Maple Ridge in the box and click on "Go", quite a long list of threads should appear.

Quite a few people on this forum live in the area, including me. Nothing bad to say about it except it's grown awfully fast the past few years (been here 30+ years). Check out the Brits2Vancouver forum, lots of expats living in Maple Ridge on there.

From what I've heard, speculation is that prices will increase rapidly once access to other communities has been made easier. This will be in 2009 on completion of the 'Golden Ears Bridge'. Maple Ridge is one of the areas which could be a great investment !

thanks to you too for the info. we're hearing a lot about maple ridge and we think it may well be possible thats where we'll be headed, but nothings certain as of yet.
