Hi All

Sorry for asking a question that has probably been asked a million times before, but can anyone recommend a Medical Insurance Company for cover for the 1st 3 months of landing in Vancouver. We have been quoted £235 each by one company, which seems quite a lot.

If you do a search on canadasure you will find some good info. I am probably going to go with www.canadasure.com

We are in exactly the same position landing in Van 4th August. I have had quick quote via Canada Sure of £540 for a family of 4. Does this seem about right? Anyone suggest any others?

Thank you so much - I will contact Bluecross again. I emailed them and they said that we couldnt have any cover until after the 3 months. Perhaps I go a new customer service rep reply.

We have just been insured via Canadasure, I don't think you will get cheaper, abd best of all they give you $2,000,000 cover for your medical emergencies, which is way higher than through the BC policy.

We used Blue cross, as per the link you can click on get a quote and select landed immigrant and then answer a few questions and hey presto.

Our family of four coverage for 3 months was $681.

Thank you so much everyone. I contacted Blue Cross again and they have quoted $876. I have just been quoted £254 by Canadasure, so that is what we are going to take.
