Default motor cycle test in canada

Im told that the British motor cycle licence is not valid in Canada if not has anybody taken a test.
We are just about to move over and I have a 1977 Trident which I would like to bring but if that means taking loads of bike tests like the UK I may not bother.

FOR ALBERTA

My husband is currently learning! He has had to take the written test - muliti choice, he didn't study and passed. He has never ridden before so is taking the course. 16 hours over 4 evenings - bikes supplied. He will take the test on Saturday.

Written test $17
Lessons $450
Road test $105

Prices are approximate. If your an experienced rider you won't need the lessons but hubby is being told shoulder check, shoulder check, apparently if you miss just one shoulder check you fail.

It's not bad being able to get a licence in a week though, what scares me is he wants my GSXR 750 after just 16 hours of riding
