Hi Everyone,
We have been lurking around the forum for a few weeks now and decided it was time to say hi, so hi
We have lived in a few places over the years and our itchy feet have us ready for a move again lol
Right now we are back 'home' in Glasgow, Scotland but real fed up and wanting to escape!
We are a mid 30's couple with one teenage daughter and 2 cats, so far Alberta looks like a good possibility for our new home, although that choice has chanced a few times already and back again!
We are thinking entry via a Temp Work Permit would be our quickest route, and hope to be in a position to move early next year? Well hopefully anyway!
We have enjoyed the forum so far and the Wiki has been great reading!
We hope to get involved and make a few friends along the way as we make our journey to Canada
Take care everyone
Al and Shelby

Hi Al and Shelby, be careful of Coffeepot, she's a bit loopy
she thinks I'm her mother for some reason and I've never even met her
That's what lurking on BE will do for you so lurk no longer and join right in. Good luck in wherever you land up. We are in Sasktachewan, it's cold at the moment, has no mountains (we came from Wales
) and the people are very friendly.

Thanks for the welcome Coffepot and yeah the site is awesome

Nothing wrong with a bit of lurking

We have both had our own companies in the past, but sold up and took a year out. Now we clock in and out, take the money and have none of the stress!
At present we are both in management, she: retail management, him: manufacturing/transport management, class 1 licence too
Not sure of the best way to get into Canada but do not fancy the long haul truck route, the nights away and horror stories over in the truck forum are a little off putting

Will work something out, anything and everything is possible

Thanks for the welcome and the good luck, probably going to need it

Thinking of Alberta, not just as cold as Sasktachewan (we think!) and a few mountains too just like home, although we hope it' s a heck of a lot better than Scotland lol
