Default Money when moving to Canada

So looking at moving back to Canada, and was wondering how much would be needed to restart my life in Canada, would 50-60 thousand be enough to move back with?

Not if you want to buy a property.

£ or $? Just you or with a family? Whereabouts? I’d imagine you’d be fine with this, unless you have a family of 5 and want to live in West Vancouver. This thread has some useful figures in although it’s very out of date now so I’d add 20% on so to them - cost of moving to canada

Good luck.

I use WISE to transfer money, I find them to be low cost and very quick once you've done a few transfers.

Rather depends on what you need it for, how long you need it to last and your standard of living. To just cover living costs, rent, utilities, groceries etc, likley good for 6 -8 months if living modestly. If you have to buy a vehicle, furniture and cover living costs, maybe a month or two. If you have a job to go to, that helps a lot. However if one is determined enough we can make most things work. I had a buddy come here with $20 (was a while ago), doing very well for himself now.

If I get a job, most of my money will be put into savings, just need to use some of it to buy basics for own place.
