Default money transfers

Moneycorp, anyone used them?. How easy is it to transfer the money once you get to canada and open a bank account.we dont want to leave ourselves short for weeks when we arrive until we get finances sorted.

I have ben comparing the rates offered by HIFX, Moneycorp and a couple of others and so far Moneycorp have averaged out the best, although I have only been comparing for about 7 days or so. Friends are currently using them for a substantial transfer and have nothing but praise so far. You pays your money and takes your chance but they seem to be one of the better ones.

We have just used HIFX to transfer a substantial amount before our move in July. They had the best rate at the time. We got the rate on Monday, returned the transfer forms on Tuesday, got money txf to HIFX on Tuesday and the money was in our Canadian a/c on Wednesday. Marvellous!

I used ISXFX, May 04, and everything went really well. Make sure you bring some Canadian currency with you though - there's always stuff you need immediately.

I used Moneycorp, and found them to be hassle-free and very quick!

Hi
We are using Halo Financial which seem to offer a personal service and are recommended in various magazines. Impressed with them so far.
