Default Meet up in Calgary?

Hi there

We moved to the gorgeous winter wonderland of Calgary in November. My husband has a work permit... but I don't qualify for the spousal open work permit. I've been job hunting with no luck and to stop me going mad, I'd love to hear from anyone who is in the same boat and might like to meet for a coffee? We live in the South East.

Hi, Judith.

A BE forum member called bandit is coming to Calgary on a recce (actually, if memory serves me correctly, she will have arrived by now).

Anyway, we're going to get together with her this coming Friday evening, February 8th. Details are yet to be arranged. We'd been talking about meeting downtown or in Kensington.

Naturally you're welcome to join in.

Hi Judith

We live in the southwest & have been here since 2006, my wife joined a mum's and tot's group and has made some very good friends. We know how difficult it can be to get established. My wife would be more than happy to meet up for a coffee, just pm us.

We already have plans for Friday unfortunately but I will keep an eye out for other posts about meet-ups. Is there anywhere specific that they get posted?
It sounds like a great way to get to meet people... and also find some good places to go out!

Hello!!!

I'm Bandit - but reading down realise you can't meet on Friday!

Sorry I won't get to meet you - but I'm still looking to meet those that are coming.

Good Luck in Calgary - and all the best!

Hope you are enjoying your recce, I am sure you will love it here - we do! Make sure you fit in a trip to the mountains, they'll take your breath away... that is why we moved to Calgary.
