Check out this thread previous topic
Will be going there in August, but to late then. If you search this forum I think you'll find some one who actually lives there.
Best of luck. note weather there over the weekend.

I visit about two or three times during the summer for some retail therapy (and winter when I get twitchey!) and it may be that as I'm comparing it to Swift Current, Saskatoon and Calgary I may be a bit biased but I like it. Had a drive round the residential parts of town last time and they mostly looked well kept and transport was newer cars and trucks. On another postive side, its a way lot dryer than Vancouver (other than the recent storms :scared: ). Check out the price of property on www.mls.ca Seemed to me when I looked last year the price of property was reasonable compared to Calgary. I think it has its own website but not sure if it's www.medicinehat.ca or something like that. The british expats shop that was on the high street has closed sadly as the owner was married to an airman who got re-posted so there's a big base there somewhere too.
All in all, as I don't want/need the big city experience I'd be happy to live there. I probably have some links for you but can't find them easily so I'll repost later if I can find them

ps.....what might your timescale be????If I'm there before then I could take you some photos
