hi there has anyone out there had there medicals let us know the process for this its just all we are waiting for now is this and how long you waited for the results that would be good please email at [email protected] and maybe what they check for to

First, check for the designated centres for the UK at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contact...2Dkingdom.html Ring up for appointment but don't forget to mention Canada as they have different tests for Australia etc. Also make sure to mention you'll need a chest x-ray. Some places do an x-ray at the same place, some require you to book at another place seperately. Our costs back in June came to aroun 70 quid for x-rays and 80 quid for medicals. X-rays are required for all adults and children 11 and over. They're checking mainly for tuberculoses scars, signs of cancer etc. Medicals are quite thorough and check reflexes, blood pressure, eyes, ears, weight, height, water sample and blood (mainly checking for Aids). They'll also ask for your health history. The tests will usually go direct to the consulate so you wouldn't see them, but generally go out within a week.
