We are at the stage of waiting on the letter to go for our medicals and was wondering if anybody can tell me what they entail.
Also, we were thinking of putting our house up for sale then as we heard basically once called for medicals you have been accepted on the application front. Has anyone done something like this at that stage or do you think we should wait?

Its a thorough physical, with blood, urine and Chest Xray...yes including that "turn and cough" thing

If you want a lot of detail the handbook is here:

Heres a more legable version of the checklist form...

Yeah, you'll find just about anything you want to know in the handbook.
Also, the background check might still bring some problem up after the medical; though unless you've been naughty that's unlikely.
I believe the medical letter says not to sell houses or do anything else like that at that time, but I can't remember anyone on this site who got past the medical saying they were turned down afterwards.

It worked a charm, one viewer sold for near enough asking.
I believe another poster did exactly the same with exactly the same result.

Anyway, jokes aside, you'll probably find the medical a bit of a let-down after all the anticipation of extensive, painful and intrusive testing
. Unless you've had a history of medical problems in the past, they're really just doing a basic check for significant and obvious problems.
