Default Medical Requests

I know what your all thinking
You receive your AOR and now your getting excited, so its going to be question after question

But we were just wondering, anyone out there know how long on average before we might receive requests for medicals.

Taking into consideration we have a guaranteed job to go to.

P.S. Wait till you see some of the questions we have got lined up

a bit dated information, but still:

We've got our AOR at the end of Dec 2001. Medical requests came in May 2002.

Eh up...

From another board that I use, it's taking approximately 9-12 months for Medicals after AOR.
Someone who applied in Jan last year just got their Meds, and most peeps from March are still waiting.

Mind, that 15 month wait on your AOR is how long it could take for your Medicals. Not the entire process.

There is a pre-recorded information line for CHC London, and it has timeline info on it. Might be handy to keep on eye or an ear on that.

Cheers,

Wendy

We put our application in on 16th Jan 2003 and have just had our call for medical...so a year an a bit, but we have no job offer. We have friends who put in their application in June 2003 and got there medical request through in about 6 weeks....but that was probably due to the job offer they had and the fact that the health authority in Vancouver kept phoning the Candian High Comission to try and speed things up.
