Eventually established with ublockus that their service wouldn't provide a UK IP address to use with the BBC Iplayer on the Xbox. Then opened a hidemyass VPN account and set up a router according to their instructions and the BBC Iplayer app downloaded without any difficulty. Using a computer with the Iplayer does seem to provide better access to programmes and allow TV to be watched live but the app on the Xbox is a useful addition for the spare TV.

In case some of you didn't know, Sky News is free on Xbox 360 is you have a UK Live account. Just download the Sky app.

Yes the Sky app has a live feed to Sky News - it has to be an Xbox Gold ie pay account . I haven't really looked but I assume all the other Sky stuff is pay to watch?

I dowloaded the Channel 4 app which has some useful stuff. However, the news programme at 7pm doesn't seem to be included?
