If you are living in northwest Calgary or about to, the Crowfoot Village Family Practice is taking on 3,500 new patients this summer.
Not sure how many if any, openings they still have but they were still saying they were taking on new patients as of July 10th.

Hi Steve,
Is there a general shortage of family practices in calgary?
We have a 4 month old baby and would need to be in a practice, but will be living in the SE of calgary, will we have trouble registering with a doctor in the SE?, would this doctors in the NW accept us being from the SE?
Sorry for all these questions
Roo.

Ours who we have going to for 33 years is retiring in December.
We're hoping to be taken on by the Crowfoot practice.I couldn't answer as to whether or not the Crowfoot practice would take on patients from the S.E. quadrant or not. You could perhaps ask them by using this link.

Alternatively perhaps this website might help although I didn't see any listing for doctors in the southeast.

Yes there does appear to be a shortage of family practitioners in Calgary.
