Default Long term sick - Alberta

Hi all,

Can someone point me in the right direction to find out what sort of benefit would be available to a mechanic that can no longer mechanic due to limitations.

Something that sets it out in plain English.

I'm losing my mind.

Cheers

give David Brannen a call (323) 870 1405 see if he'll do free consultation.

That us excellent. Thank you.

My husband will require a kidney. He'll be on dialysis in the next 3 to 6 months, just trying to get some ducks....

Really frightening and a constant worry here "what if I can't do billable work?". Best of luck with it.

Can he get CPP Disability? That's one place to start Also apply for Disability Tax Credit, and save details of appointments so you can claim mileage on tax. Over 40km m is mileage and over 80km you can claim a meal. The details are online. That's all I can think of.

Thank you, we do have to check what his work benefits will pay and if we have something with our life insurance policy too.
