Just found this website and it's fab to find so many in the same situation. We live out on a small holding in the middle of a corn field (far cry from home) Husband really into it me missing home particularly this weekend - mother in-law's birthday.

Now just a dog, a cat and two chickens. Last year two dogs, four cats, 100+ chickens, two horses, one donkey.

We live in Walthamstow and are moving to Toronto June 27th. Where are you now based and why did you decide to leave E17 for Canada? How does life compare now? I know the holidays are crap in Ontario but do you have a better quality of life now?

Based in Ottawa. Grew up in Walthamstow but lived in other places too afterwards.

Holidays - I get 4 weeks plus stat holidays so not too bad at all.

Life's a lot easier here - getting around, financially, less social nuisance etc.

Probably less exciting though.
