Stay away from Hamilton. Apparently they're not very smart there. After a football
rivalry that's lasted over 100 years, the wittiest, msot intelligent chant that any
of their fans has been able to come up with is "Nobody Blows Like the Argos".
Followed by throwing beer on us, the Argos pep band.
Plus, if you lived in Hamilton you'd have to cheer for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, which
just wouldn't do.

London is as nice as any typical Toronto suburb but it is cheaper to live in. It is
also quite a fair distance out (100Km+) so you'd have a hard time commuting to
Toronto. Hamilton is the archetypal steel town. Working class and quite rough. It's
benefits are that it's reasonably cheap to live there compared with Toronto although
there are fewer jobs (particularly white collar) and they are lower paid. The
advantage is that it has a go-train service to Toronto so you can commute.
If it was me, I would go to Hamilton, but mainly because of the cheap rent and
ability to commute to Toronto relatively easily, until I was stable enough to
actually move to Toronto.
