Why do so few people on the forum put their location under their name?
Please, please put in your location, so we can see if you are in Canada, still in the UK or where in the world you are!
It's not difficult to change the settings, just click my forum at the top of the page, then go to edit profile.

Maybe you should also add that Lancashire is pronounced more or less like "Lancasheer" and not Lancashyre (to rhyme with "wire") - boy it ticks me off when Canadians don't bother to find out how we pronounce "shire" at the end of a word.
Couple of months ago the IGA had a special on English cheeses and they were giving away Cheshire and Leicestershire cheese - little cube samples. So I say to the lady "I bet you don't know how to pronounce that cheese" pointing to the Leicestershire. She gets this very proud look on her face and says "Yes I do. A gentleman yesterday told me its "lycesstershyre"!!!!

Mousehole = Maowsull
Launceston = Lawnstun
Babbacombe = Babacoom, not babacombee
New thread for this one do you think?
