it's the employer who has to apply for lmo...

You cannot personally apply for an LMO - this is done by an employer so therefore you need a job before an LMO can be applied for.
Try doing a forum search for LMO or TWP and you should get a tonne of information regarding these two things.

just thinking out load sorry :curse:
im considering just moving str8 over there and looking for a job while im there
but by the sounds of things id be without work or visa for 6 months

Have you checked whether your occupation is a skill shortage in On ?
I know that construction occupations are in high demand in Alberta

carpenters are on the oup-list for ab and bc, but not for on...
and if i'm not very much mistaken he isn't eligible for bunac anymore - being in his thirties and bunac having lowered the age for the non-student-route to 30...
