Living in Toronto
#16
Hi Chris,
Terrifically helpful, thank you! I'll certainly make use of your Realtor contact. To be honest this is just what we need: someone to help us focus based on our means as well as our wants!
It's good of you to big up the climate. I'm originally from Edmonton but have softened after years of living in England! But, as I write it's raining outside and will probably continue doing so for the next 3 months, so snow and sun is better ... As for the general malaise here, you're right. The UK is not out of recession and faces major economic problems in the next few years (especially academia, as you'll probably know). Most immediately, we live in a neighbourhood where there's a rapist murderer on the loose having left his last victim in the playground next to my son's school. Anyway, I am on that soapbox again.
Interesting that you and your partner are in psychology. I publish a lot in cognitive psychology (for academics and students). Will you be at Psychonomics? Maybe I'll see you there. Sounds like we may bump into one another at some stage because I need to visit the major psychology departments in Ontario and Quebec in the first instance.
Cheers again for your help!
Mike
