Hi. Good luck with your move to Lloydminster. I was there some years ago ( just passing through ) but I don't remember much about it though. All I seem to recall is that it's on the main drag from Saskatoon to Edmonton. Just interested in the user name, is there an IOM connection there? TTFN!

Thanks! Yes I was born in the IOM. Have family there but we now live in the UK. Looking forward to moving to Canada!

Me, my wife, my 3 year old lad and 7 year old black labrador moved to Lloydminster in January. PM me if you have specific questions, where you working?

That's cool! Its a small world! I lived in Douglas in the 1970's. My Parents used to have a guest house there. You are probably too young to remember it, but I'll never forget the summer of '76 - what a belter! Good luck with your info quest & move!

From what I understand Lloydminster is split across AB and SK, so you may want to consider the impact of provincial taxes on where you choose to live.

I'd be interested (very actually) to hear what there actually is to do in Lloyd. As many know my hubby has a place up there (or should I say had a place up there til last month before deciding it would be cheaper to take the trailer up there rather than renting) for work. And the few times i've visited I fail to see what can attract a family to this area

If you can live on the Alberta side as Alberta is easier to spell than Saskatchewan but harder to draw the province outline on a map.
