I was surprised how high India is actually on the crime stats....not surprised at the suicide rates for Scandanavian countries though....beer far too expensive !

Someone posted that link a few months back - fascinating stuff. Often suprised me how inaccurate my perceptions of Canada was (would also love to know how accurate the stats, and the collection of stats, are for each country).

They have subtracted the area of all the major bodies of water within the boundaries.
They quote the CIA World Facts as their source for this information.

From a brief dip, that website appears to be startling inconsistent. One list shows China as being the number 3 largest after Russia and Antarctica, and ahead of the USA and Canada. Click through the China link and you discover that it is number 4, after Russia the USA and Canada. Since when was Antarctica a a country, anyway?
From that, I consider that the site is probably bollx.

That bit is easy.. just tell a group of ten year olds that their christmas presents are atom bomb shaped and hidden in Iraq, here is the important bit, the adults must then leave the country, the kids will find them in hours...
