Default A letter from Canada takes more than 3 weeks to deliver?

Hi, I'm waiting for a letter from Canada. Is it normal that a letter by regular air sent to Hong Kong takes more than 3 weeks to arrive? I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks. Of course I know most of the people here are in Britain. How about letters to Britain? Does it take long? Thanks

I've sent mail to Canada from the UK and had it sent to me from Canada and it takes about a week.

Seems to be utterly random to us.

Range of 3 days to 3 weeks.

It sometimes takes 3 weeks to get mail from my parents in ontario to reach us in victoria. Other times it takes only a week, seems very random to me.

We're still waiting for our gas bill, which was mailed from Regina to Saskatoon over three weeks ago...

My sister sent me a package first class from the UK and it took two weeks to get here. I really have no idea what they do with the mail. Canada Post seems to be the problem as I recently had a small package sent priority international from Florida. It was postmarked August 19th and it did not get here until September 2nd.

I think they must use pony express or something.

Canada Post sucks.

I ordered an item from Ottawa a few weeks ago and it was sent expedited parcel and it took 15 days to get to me in BC, expedite my you know what.

I have a package coming from New York state and according to the tracking on USPS website, it was mailed on Monday and cleared customs in Vancouver on Wed but haven't seen it yet and nothing new has been updated.

I mailed an item to NY on Tuesday and according to Canada Post its still in Vancouver and hasn't even been dispatched to the US yet.

Canada Post simply sucks and I try to avoid them when I can.

We received a card from the UK to Calgary in less than a week.
I have sent a recorded delivery letter to my bank in the UK a few days ago, so will let you know how long it takes the other way.

At the end of February this year I sent my sister in the UK a small package for her birthday, at the end of March.

It arrived at the end of May.

Better even than that, we received notice of an unpaid water bill from the town late last year.
We hadn't received the original...which duly arrived two weeks later.

We had to pay the late payment fees as well...

I mailed an envelope to UK last week on Tuesday after Labour Day and explained to them it would take 6-7 days. It arrived in 4 days!

We sent a largish box of things over to UK on July 11th surface mail. P.O. said it would take 2-3 weeks which we didn't believe since it's usually 6 weeks. 8 weeks later it still has not arrived. Talking with another postal worker in another office she said it goes by air but only goes when there's room on a plane! Who knows whether it is still in Ontario or sitting somewhere in a UK postal office.

BTW, our gas bill finally turned up from Regina in just under a month... and arrived nearly a week after we were supposed to pay it! The postman could have walked here faster than that.

Is it possible to have your bills sent electronically.

We don't get any bills through regular mail any more.
