Default Length of time to get a visa

we were originally looking at moving to Canada but it would have taken us 3/5 years to get our visas........just wondering if anyone had changed thinking of different countries to move to instead cos of timescales........

hi if you have a trade that is in demand why don`t you try the work permit route you then can apply for pr which will be fast tracked

Work permit is risky if job doesn't work out, or if someone in family gets sick before PR is granted.

Hi
We also did`nt want to wait 3 years so we applied for a couple of jobs in Alberta and recieves job offers. We then applied for a work permit and arrived in Canada 3 months later. We have just recieved our residency last week. So dont let it put you off as the Embassey fast tracks residency thru once in Canada.

It depends on why you are wanting to move ........ to go live in Canada? or simply to leave the UK.

We wanted to live in Canada.
