Hi, can anyone help me with this.....I am hoping to leave Canada in July for three weeks with my kids to return home but my work permit is an open permit and clearly states 'Not valid for Re-entry'. If I leave the country in July am i going to run into problems on my return? The reason I have an open permit is cos my OH has an LMO and work permit with his company. I qualified for an open permit because of his trade. Can anyone tell me is it ok for us to travel home in July or no? Thanks.

Yes you can travel home. That statement is used so the WP cannot be used as a travel document on its own and must accompany a valid travel document.
