Default Landing funds question

I'm landing in Calgary on the 5th of September and my wife will follow a month later.

I know when i land i will have to show proof of funds which is fine but i will then use some of these funds to get a car and an apartment.

My question is will immigration then ask my wife to show proof of funds too? Do i show proof of funds for 2 people or as we are landing separate do we each show proof of funds for 1 person each?

Thanks.

Mike.

No, only the principal applicant has to show proof of funds.

Cool.

So as my wife is following i just show a bank statement showing at least the minimum funds required for 2 people.

Cheers!

So going to transfair money from our UK to Canadian account in the morning.

Although its HSBC to HSBC I'm still worried it won't be done in time.

If it hasn't changed over in time and i keep the receipt that shows the money has gone will that be sufficient for the customs guy to see the funds are pending on our account?

I arrive in Calgary next Wednesday.

You probably won't be asked, but if your cash hasn't been transferred in time you can just use a recent UK bank statement showing it in GBP.
