There are a few of us here that live in the Okanagan Valley and I'm sure you'll get some helpful responses. I'm limited for time this AM as I'm getting ready for work, but thought I'd mention that you'll find some threads dealing with the area in the archives here. Good luck!

I live south of Kelowna in Penticton which is about 45 mins away. Ask any questions you want regarding the Okanagan and I will be able to answer them for you. One thing I will say the weather is awesome!!!!!!

Also would like to add that the nicest, friendliest people in BC tend to live in the Kelowna/Okanagan area - must be the weather!

I'm a brit who has moved to Kelowna - what do you want to know?
I love Kelowna and I can not fault it for its quality of life. However, as always, its suitability will be determined by your occupation/financial resources/monetary expectations.
I have visited Penticton, Vernon and Kamaloops and I much prefer Kelowna. However, that is my taste and may not reflect yours. I continue to be shocked and amazed by people's preferences. I have good friends who think that Frank Sinatra is boring, Prince is untalented and Buffy The Vampire Slayer is silly. However they love Coronation Street and Phil Collins. I try not to hold this against them but you can see where I might have a problem.
Ask me some specific questions and I try to answer them.

Yes, but even if they move to the bigger work area of Vancouver - that is only a 4 hour drive away ....
