.. or has anyone else spent hours checking stuff out only to find the information is "except BC" or "Ontario only"? Not a complaint, just an observation of the difference in moving to a country with a federal system.
Maybe that's why we all keep asking the same questions!

The various provinces operate very much as "nations" within a nation almost, on many issues of life etc.
Nothing like the UK for example.
This is sometimes a good thing and sometimes a bad thing.
At present Alberta could survive, if it chose to, as a land locked nation of its own.
Where as the Maritime provinces economies rely upon "equalization payments".
In other words, aid from Federal Government ("Ottawa"), with money put in the pot by Ontario and Alberta!

I find it alot that quebec is exempt from stuff like competitions but quebecs just wierd anyways LOL
