I've been lurking for a while, soaking up lots of information and have a couple of questions I'd like to post, but thought I should be polite and introduce myself first.
Myself, hubby and two children live in Scotland. We know Western Canada very well. I'm sure there isn't a road between Calgary and Vancouver that I haven't been on - we've done lots of travelling over the years. We've talked about emigrating for about 15 years! There never seemed to be a right time and I've realised there never will be? Also, we've always had a very good standard of living here - good jobs, good schools, money for holidays - but as the kids are getting older I'm starting to think more about the future. I still feel incredibly young and want us all to have a BIG adventure, rather than settle down and think 'is this it'?
We both work in IT (mostly in financial services companies). We always thought we would emigrate to Calgary, since we know and love it so well and have lovely relatives there, but I'm very attracted to the Atlantic Provinces, which I've been researching for the past few months. However, can't do a reccie trip this year as we have a family wedding in Calgary in July and then will be doing more travelling (want to give the Okanagan Valley and Kamloops another look).
Thanks for listening.
PS - I know the holes in the middle are not timballs, but someone already had timbits!
