Hi all,
Had my medical today in Manchester.
Got there nice and early and straight in with doctor. He asked me
lots of very routine questions about my medical history, measured my
BP, took blood and urine sample, tested my eyesight, looked in my
ears, listened to my chest, measured my height and weight and that
was it 20 mins tops.
Then a taxi (billed to medical centre) took me to North Manchester
district hospital, waited about 15 mins, had my x ray, and they rang
a taxi (again billed to medical centre) to take me back to my car.
Cost was £120.00 for medical and £25.00 for x ray including taxis.
Was very straightforward and stress free so just have to cross my
fingers blood tests & x ray are ok.

Hi Jon,
we rand for medicals at manchester but booked up until April, so we are going over to Liverpool on 5th March, ours is it abit more expensive, but we are not willing to wait until April, so not too worried about cost. Sounds farily straight forward. Good luck with them.

I am wondering if you could post this in the immigration section? Many people go there making enquiries as to the involvement of the medicals.

Hi John,
Can you tell me which clinic you went to in Manchester ?
We are probably a good way off having our medical requests but when we do get them we wouldn’t mind trying to have them done where you went, given your positive report.
We live between Liverpool and Manchester so we could also go to Liverpool if need be.
Wendy, Could you post a report on how you find your medical experience in Liverpool please ?
If you rate the place then I will write down their name and contact details and put them with the place that John used for when we have to book for ours.
Thanks,
Jen

Hi,
I used the New Collegiate medical centre which is in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester. I think there's only 2 clinics in Manchester that are on the list, this was the only one I called, and cos they could get me in so quickly I didn't bother calling then other.
I live in Leeds, there is a clinic there but they couldn't fit me in until mid March and to be honest after all this waiting I wasn't about to hang on another 4 weeks just to have my med done on my doorstep.
Hope this is of use.

Thanks guys. Very much appreciated.
We live near St Helens but aren't really expecting to have our medicals until the back end of this year at the earliest.
