I thought I’d see how many points I have ……even though my occupation is not on “The New Listâ€. It is however on the NOC grid (comes in at Level A) and I have already taken my IELTS test.
Language + Age + Experience = 47
Now I’m pretty sure I would get 22 on the Educational assessment thing = 69
So even without a job offer, without being on The @&€% List, without any additional adaptability points and without a 2nd language, I would have got enough point.
#not fair
Plus I have (like many others, I am sure) spent the last few months gathering all my references and academic transcripts and certificates, so everything was ready to go - only for it to all be a waste of time and effort.
I realise the list has been out for a couple of weeks now, but 3 days after the applications has re-opened, I am feeling very low and thought I would just put my misery across.
Moan over – thanks for reading x
p.s – I know the IELTS test results are valid for two years, is that the same for the Educational assessments? Is it worth getting that done too??

Oh we'll done mate, I'm keeping my
for you.Yeah, I've sat on this idea of moving to Canada on and off for the last 9 years. There's always been a list and then this thing called life kept happening... Was so excited when I found out there was no list this year and the point system had changed in my favour... Oh well
