Smile Just Been To York...

Hi all, we're newbies to the site! Went to York emigrate show; not al we wanted but hey-ho!
Anyone out there had any success with getting/going to Canada (sigh) as an electrical engineer? Seems that manual workers are more desirable.

All the best,

Anne and John.

Welcome to BE Afraid I don't know anything about any kind of engineering - but if you ask the same question in the main Canada forum hopefully some of the engineers will see it and give you some pointers.

Whereabouts were you thinking of heading in Canada?

Some good friends of mine work for a company called Sandwell in downtown Vancouver. They were originally from Scotland. You could send them your resume and see what kind of response you get? I know they handle some pretty big projects, in the electrical design/engineering field.

Have you checked the PNP list for Alberta? As they are covering lots of trades.
Good luck
