Hi
Just got back from Two weeks in canada looking at housing, empolyment, and getttign the feel of the country and i would like to pass on my thoughts.
Toronto
Hell of a place, rode the subway in peak rush hour both in the Am and PM, got 4 seats both times, Yeah thats right got a seat! cheap and very easy to use. Went for a meal in "Greek town" fell in love with the place straight away.
Every meal we had the kids got crayons and colouring in papers, brill.
London
Took me by surprized as it seamed a lot busyer that Toronto, but jobs prospects better? housing a lot cheaper, but we also went to St Thomas again a wonderfull place with affordable housing.
Niagara
Blackpool....with a water fall, kids will love it, and if you are a chef, waiter etc you will get a job in the summer, rest of the year is another matter.
My papers are in so this was a trip to make sure, i am sure, people, brill very welcoming, relaxed, and helpfull.
i now know that..........
a loony is 1 dollar , and a toonie is 2 dollars, that homless people say thank you and sorry to bother you in Toronto ( there is a few of them but times by 200% to get any where near the levels that Manchester,Brimingham, etc have) that children are welcomed not just tolerated like in the Uk. we are paying at least double for the price of our new cars for what they are paying over there. I have made the right choice, oh and i really liked the "red and green show" laughted like a drain.

Let's hope things remain the same for us when we're living there - 12 days and counting!
