Job offer without SIN
Hi, I landed and activated my COPR but did not register for a SIN. I’ve now returned to the UK. Just wondering if this may cause any issue if I were to get a job offer whilst back in the UK. Would a company ask for this before extending an offer to me, or accept just a copy of my signed COPR? Then I can provide my SIN when I start employment. All hypothetical of course and assuming I land an offer whilst in the UK. What would you advise?

I don’t see it as an issue. If you receive an offer you can easily and quickly register and get a SIN before you need to report for duty. If, by chance the offer asks for your SIN You jut need to inform you’ll have one by your first day.

Re: Job offer without SIN
It is unlikely an employer will ask for a SIN before en employee starts work. They give you two forms, a TD1 and a TD1 provincial for taxation, this is where you put your SIN, this is usually given to the employee in their firsts days of work and before the first pay period. I would not be giving an SIN other than on the TD1 forms, it is not needed until they enter you for payroll.
