Job offer question

My trade as a dental technician doesn't appear on the skilled list but I can reach the points.
I am looking at trying the job offer route and will travel over  soon in the hope of touting my self around as many labs as possible.
One thing I'd like help or advise on is, does anyone know how much of an imvestment, both in time and finacially, a dental lai would be making to push through and help my application by offering me a position over a CanadianÂ

Hi redfred. A company would need to advertise on Job Bank for at least 2 weeks (i think that's free but don't quote me on that!). Then they would need to apply to HRSDC for a LMO. The company would need to prove that there were no suitable Canadian applicants before HRSDC will issue a LMO, and even then it is not a given that one will be issued. That process can take a few months but it is free for the company to apply.

I reckon you would be in demand for that profession, there are a lot of private dental practices out here, especially in BC as far as I know.
Its hard to get but you probably need some good references too, they would need a timeline from start to finish when you think you could start for them as well.

The time scale was something which had crossed my mind, i know the nature of my trade in the UK is a vacancy comes up today...and is needed to be filled by.."yesterday!"unlike things like hospitals, hotels or IT offices which must work on long term plans to fill there jobs.
Thanks again for taking time to reply and you input, i realise its a long shot..but you only live once
