Re: Job offer for PR

I see what your saying re. the job offer off her old boss, only drawback is, it would be in Newfoundland not Nova Scotia, thats why we were looking at alternatives, my job would be in Halifax, problem is its not classed as a high skilled job ( scaffolder ) thats wrong by the way  yes we would be giving jobs up in the UK, but we have funds to go with... the 2 weeks sounds a good idea, also looked at the Nova Scotia nominee programme...

thanks

So you have a job offer as well? It doesn't need to be classed as highly skilled, you can still get a LMO/TWP for it.

I'm sure you have, but my point was that you could return to the UK after 6 months with no job in either Canada or the UK. Personally, I'd rather have the security of a job in the UK to come back to if you don't manage to find an employer prepared to sponsor you in Canada.

The NS PNP is also a good option, the Community Identified Stream may be a possible?

Think the TWP is the way to do it.. do we need the IELTS test for this, we filled the forms in ready to send, not sure if you need the English test for the TWP ??

You've filled in the forms for what? You can't apply for a TWP until you've got the LMO, so that must be the first step (and it's something the potential employer has to do, you can't). Apologies if you have already got the LMO, but it's just you haven't mentioned it before, and the TWP application has to come after that.

But no, you don't need an IELTS for a TWP.

:)
