job interview on Wednesday - hellllp
#16
Ok well interview over and have now finished laughing manically like some mad nutjob on a psyche ward
How did it go -
- i honestly dont know I have spent about an hour slapping my forehead every 2-3 minutes repeating the same 2 phrases " oh my God why didnt i say that" and " oh my God why DID i say that"
Isnt hind sight a wonderful thing - this is why i HATE interviews - questions that cause me to 'waffle' and totally miss the point until 5 minutes AFTER the interview when the penny drop like a sack of sh*t and and i slap myself on the head lmao - followed by approx 30 mins of manic laughing crineging and oh my God'ing
so I felt it went bloody awful BUT they were really lovely, and asked when I intended to start ( ie when I hope to land) said they would get the paperwork out in the post to me, and the HR lady I have been speaking to would help me with the paperwork, that she ( the interviewer) was going on holiday in July for amonth ( she's an Aussie) and would be back in touch with me before i got there
SO unless its a regular thing for canadian employers to make you feel like you have the job to be nice and then send a letter saying "ha ha ha not a chance i wouldnt let you look after my dead hamster let alone my ER dept" i THINK i might have got the job!!!!! - In the area I work in you dont find out at the interview so i wasnt expecting her to tell me and neither did I ask, which in hindsight maybe I should have done lol
So i shall wait for the paperwork to arrive as promised and keep my fingers crossed once i stop slapping myself!!!!!!
thanks all

hey congrats on your phone interview, so that's the easy bit now done.
So you've now just got to pack everything up, settle all your affairs, arrange accommodation at the other end, have the farewell party, get to the airport, settle in, oh & start your new job
its a breeze really
See you on the other side.

Yoong - yes the ER forums are funny - whats the worst thing your found inserted in someone? whats the worst excuse for someone turning up at ER, whats the worst thing you've been reported for? - ALL had me laughing loudly and remembering what it was like to work there
omg now the more i think about it im starting to panic lmao - 3 months ( 12 weeks sounds even less lol) to pack the house, arange the animal transport, arange rental accom, arrange shipping, sort out finances, close down hubby business and do all tx forms plus a million more other things to boot
oh crap here comes that manic laughing again
