Can you give any idea what might constitute such circumstances?
I have recently been reunited with my family and they are the only close relatives I now have. Father took out citizenship in 1976 and other siblings were born there.

What do you think...(apart from chutching at straws!)?

Under the regulations if you are alone in Canada, not married, no children, parents
deceased, you may be able to sponsor one relative. This is not the exact wording of
the law but it gives an idea of the intent. These are the rare circumstances and in
my immigraton lifetime I have only seen 4 or 5 cases.
