Default ive never moved so much snow in my life

we were not ready for the snow we had here in kentville area this week end, caught us both out, as we have just took the keys for our first home, we have been moving out bits in slowly and guess what all our new snow equipment was yes you guessed it, at our new home, so we have moved tons of the white stuff with a silly shovel
my bloody back is sore now :curse:

Ah bless, and you have only just started.

You need a snow pusher, not a shovel. Push the stuff to the sides, make sure its far enough back so you can fit in the further metres of snow that will fall this winter.

You rarely need to actually shovel the stuff, so get down to CT and buy some snow pusher things. Stop that shovelling

Don't go to Crappy Tire for a Snowblower. Head to Home Depot/Sears or your local Ariens/Toro dealer instead. Much better machines that the MTD Yardworks/Yardman brands sold at CT & Kent.

Ariens, Toro, Sears Mastercraft or if you are rich, Honda are the thing to go for.

You might have just been unlucky this weekend, both that storm on Friday night and the snow squall yesterday and today. I just got the tail end of that here (deep heavy wet snow that melted on top then froze over) yet there's almost nothing 2 miles down the road.

It's the most snow I've seen here in such a short time, so maybe ask your neighbours if it's normal for that area before spending any serious cash on equipment.

We bought an electric snow pusher thingy today - its bloody brilliant! Works really well and will do the job perfectly, as long as we only park our car at the very, very end of our very, very big drive!! We wil leave that snow filled for the kids to slide down the hill into on their sledges!

No point making work for yourselves...lol

What's SNOW?

Positively beautiful sunny weekend here in Kelowna although it isn't swimwear weather. I expect Rich 007 still has his cycle shorts and redneck vest on though.

Here in Montréal we just pay people to come and clear our drives - it's about $250 for the season.

I was out and about mucking around in the bush in jeans, t shirt and a fleece. I had to wear sunglasses it was so bright out. Yesterday I got the bike out and ripped the ass out of the trails in jeans and t-shirt, it was just freaking amazing out there.

Awesome weekend in the sun. Best early winter we've had since being here

I have never seen an electric snow pusher. Where did you buy it from?
