I wouldn't want to work there if their wages policy was anything like their policy on replacing out of date IT equipment.
I had to go into a GMPTE office a couple of years ago because I lost my mobile whilst on a bus (obviously this is Britain so I never saw it again) and they were using a 486 in their offices.

I'm guessing the 486 you mention was sat on the guy at reception's desk, i've been in a few times for work, and a lot of their specialist planning software requires top notch machines.
By the way, you should have contacted the bus operator, not the PTE, to trace your phone!

Bunac at the moment and then I'll just see what happens from there really. What I do is listed in the NOC and would be eligible for an LMO under PNP assuming that I got a job in Canada doing the same thing as I do now but obviously I would need an employment-based sponsor for that.
To be honest, I work for a software development studio now and there could be a route into software design if I wanted it badly enough but the whole thing bores me to tears already if I'm honest and I've only been working here for six weeks.
What will you be doing over there?

Like any job it has its moments, good and bad. Definately can't wait to get over to Canada though. I'm constantly checking my e-mails after 2 in the afternoon to see if my employer has heard anything about the PNP or AEO application (even though they probably won't for another 4 weeks)...

I applied for the job over here, had a phone interview and then went for a face to face interview in September. There was a slight technical issue with the LMO application which meant it was declined, so employer applied for PNP (Ontario one is employer driven) and AEO at the beginning of Jan.
