There are loads of threads on here for watching uk tv, try expatshield for iplayer and itv player, you get the full version, can watch live on iplayer or catch up, works on pc's and it is free

But like me, he [Novo] has a Mac and as far as I can see expatshield doesn't work for that platform.

So get the VGA cable and use the iPads built in TV out functionality to output it to the TV.
Additionally it'll be available soon on the Xbox and PS3.

I know ipads are all the rage, but I don't own one and I don't want to shell out cash on something just so I can trail a VGA cable across the room - which imo is a shit solution anyway.
Come on BBC - sort it out. People don't want to watch your stuff on tablets, they want it on big screens.

If you purchased an Apple TV ($100 I think) you can easily add iPlayer to it and I am sure the global one will be done too in the next few days. Then you can use a hdmi cable to your TV from the Apple TV. I watch all CTV news and channels this way back in the UK.
