Default INTER company TRANSFR

Hi everyone!
I have done a search for this but have not come up with any good links.
I will be having an interview in a couple of weeks with my companies Canadian entity and I was wondering which visa route would be best? I remember reading about inter company transfer a while ago but I didn't believe I would use this route back then so I cannot recall what I read
Anyone have experience of this? What parts am I responsible for and what parts are the company responsible for? Do they still need LMO?

Thx

Following a quick search of the WIKI (its a special section on here so that people can learn about moving to Canada, look it up you may find it useful - Blue bar at the top) I found this

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Intra-...ransfer-Canada

Not sure how familiar you are with the process but this explains it all pretty well.

Usual route is a TWP followed by a SW PR application I believe. That's certainly what I'm doing, but I guess you could go straight for PR now that the process is quicker.

No LMO needed provided the role is of a certain skill level and relationship between the entities is valid. There's more detail if you download the Skilled Worker guide.

The application process can be done entirely by yourself (with job offer letter) or by the company, really it doesn't matter - I did my application myself.

I got an intra company transfer visa, but eventhough it looks easy once you meet all the requirements (check the wiki), they gave me a lot of trouble at Immigration. They don't like this route, because it brings foreigners to the country without a LMO, when the unemployment rate is rising. Unless your skills are very specific, they will try to prove that there are Canadians that can do it.

Be well prepared, know the law, and be ready for anything!

Interesting - where did you get this hassle? Did you apply at POE?

I had no such query, though I had an approved TWP before I arrived...

I got the visa at POE. Even though I had all the documentation requested, and fitted under one of the 3 categories, they were saying that a Canadian could do it. But that is not the point of this visa, so my advice is, spend a lot of time studying the immigration rules, to know your rights.

I dunno But it clearly fits in one of the 3 possible categories of this visa. Actually, I'd say it fits in 2 of the 3 categories..
