Invest in a bug jacket!
Moving away from the UK to get away from Stab vest dont like the sound of having dress up to combat the bugs lol :scared:

Well it is a mesh jacket that you wear outdoors if you are working in the garden. http://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1109
You won't need them all year just at times when the bugs are really thick...black fly season for sure!

I wouldn't worry about it to much, the season can be short...in the Maritimes they say....they arrive on Mothers Day and are gone by Fathers day...So May to mid June..You may not even get any unless you are going to be in a wood area. But since I live in a wooded area, they are really little pests! It is usally the time when it is starting to heat up and you want to be outside digging in the garden....so you are better off with a bug jacket on for that short period..but other than that not much else to worry about.

Thanks All for the info some food for thought there.
I have done research on preventing insect bites and the best one I could find was the they dont like the taste of alcohol! So thats it only go out in the garden with a beer in your hand!!
