Folks, I am doing my last minute preps heading to Ottawa for good.
There maybe potential issues here (or maybe just paranoia).
My car is paid off and has a clear title in the states.
However my car title has my name and my ex girlfriend’s name on it.
I put her name on the title to help her finance a new car five years ago (building equity through car ownership).
We broke up four years ago and I don’t think we want to see each other.
To change the car title to just have my name on it, I need my signature and her signature.
She is nowhere to be found and I don’t know her whereabouts.
If I just go ahead drive the car to the border and proceed with importation (as the car is in the goods to follow list), will it posses any problem with the Canadian Customs?
