Default IMP Group, Nova Scotia

Hello

I've just done a search on the forum for this company because OH has applied for a job there. We had been looking at Alberta ... but now considering NS too

I notice that there are lots of BE people who have posted that they've been offered jobs with IMP. I just wondered if any of you have now started, and what you think of the company etc. What sort of relocation packages, if any, they offer.

The job is at the components division in Amherst ... what's it like around there?

Any helpful tips and information would be much appreciated

Also, I know that it's best to follow up applications with a phone call ... what if they've acknowledged the application email? It's still best to give them a call, right? Does anyone have a contact name for anyone in HR?

Thanks in advance
Trudie

hello, your OH should contact Advanced precision, and atlantic hardchrome. both are hiring now and have the LMO experience etc. (and hardchrome offer relocation)

Hi Grant and Debs

Thanks for those two company names - I've just had a quick look at their websites. Advanced Precision seem to be looking for machinists ... OH isn't a machinist, but it's still useful to get names of the various manufacturing companies that are in NS, so thank you!

The specific job he's applied for at IMP is a 'continuous improvement' - Lean manufacturing position, exactly what he does here in the UK.
