I am just writing to ask if the immigration process has slowed down?
My application was sent off to the London Canadian High Commission back in March this year.
March got my AOR
April was informed that I would need an interview.
Attorney applied for my Chaips 6 weeks ago. I was informed that its would only take 3 weeks to get the notes back.
I still have not had any news regards my interview. or my Chaips note (don't ask me what Chaips means cos I have no idea)
Why does it take so long to book interviews? I would be happy if I was informed that my interview 6 months away. if I had a date to look forwards to.
is it too much to ask for some news??

it is CAIPS and not CHAIPS.It is the parallel computer file/log system of the
processing of your application. It is independent from your physical file. Any
authorized preson working on your file can add notes and comments to it or update it
about the important dates/ stages/ activities that have taken place on your case,to
enable the other Visa officer/case processing officer to make decisions etc.Only your
authorized canadian rep can access it if you have allowed that access.

It is CAIPS (computer assisted immigration processing systems). I assume your
Attorney is Canadian based and has made a request under the Privacy Act. CIC has 30
days to reply and can request an additional 30 days if necessary. In 2000 the average
processing time for 80% of Skilled worker applications (Non IT) in London was 24
months. (The past is not necessarily a projection of the future). Once s/he has the
notes if there are any problems, they should come to light.

It is not too much to ask. But honestly, London has been one of the = leaders in
transparency in the process along with Buffalo.
London has been a steady and reliable post for some time. If you were informed that
you require an interview, you also know the = time (roughly) since they advise of
this as well in the same letter.
With an interview letter in April and interview waits varying between = 8-16 months
depending on where you liveyou can get some idea. Your = letter will give you a
better idea.
CAIPS is the system used to maintain files including events, notes and = actions
on the file.
These notes are often useful in determining what is happening. These = notes can be
accessed under the Access to Information Act. Under that = Act, they have 30 days to
provide the requested inforamtion or reasons = as to why it cannot be produced. --=20

Hello everybody,
>
What about Moscow? Can anyone tell me what the examination is like there, besides the
official info?
What is of a particular interest to me is whether or not Moscow immigration center
employees give special attention to applicants with a Quebec Selection Certificate as
me. I'm not married, have no kids, etc. Any info?
