Maybe I have a disgusting mind but "fishing near Dildo Island" sounds like bugg**y. By an uncle. In NF.

Anyway to clarify. There is an open recreational cod fishery in Newfoundland for 5 weeks this summer. First time in a long time and a big deal here. So Mrs AX is off to catch her 5 cod (5 per person, max 15 per boat per day) with her Uncle Ray. So I get fresh cod for supper tommorrow night all being well.
Uncle Ray lives in the community of Dildo. Nearby there is an island called Dildo Island. It's a lot less exciting than it sounds.....

Last time it hit me I was picking up my inlaws from the airport(Montreal) and I walked past the BA checkin desk with people lined up for the flight to London, and had the sudden longing to go back.
I think it depends on what type of person you are, if you are close to your family and friends back in the UK you will feel more homesick.
I get back several times a year to England for business which does a lot to reduce my homesickness as I usually have a trip there to look forward to. I'm going to be taking my family back for 3 months this winter to escape the Canadian weather so it's not all bad.
