...if you won the lottery where would you live?
Canada has a lot of positives and negatives just like anywhere else. I cannot believe what is going on in Europe and would rather be in Canada at this moment in time. So here's the question, if you won the lottery and could move anywhere in the world were would you go if you had financial the freedom?

Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
Surely the beauty of coming into that kind of money is that you wouldn't have to live in any one place?.. But if pressed, I'd have to say Edmonton. They have a really big shopping centre with a water slide inside and miniature golf.

Flat in Berlin Flat in LA area |
Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
We' stay right where we are and make the neighbour an offer he couldn't refuse for the adjoining sections of land. And build a big house where ours currently stands!

Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
Anywhere I damn well liked but mostly Central London. I would stay in fancy hotels and never have to clean again.

Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
I wouldn't change what I have now. Half the year in Arizona and the rest of it in Nova Scotia. It works for me. It's back to NS in a couple of weeks. Mustn't overstay my 162 day allowance and become "an illegal". :)

Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
No hesitation in my mind - New Orleans, Louisiana.
The. Most. Amazing. City. Ever. |
Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
I'd live exactly where I do now, even the same house, as it's my dream home anyway.
But I'd also have an apartment in NYC and a ski chalet in France. |
Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
I would split my year up 4 ways
Beach House, Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands Dakota Buildings, Upper West Side, NYC Townhouse, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy Lakeside Villa, Bled, Slovenia it would have to be a hell of a lottery win though !!! |
Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
It would have to be a few places.... House in Tuscany near cortona or Florence, house in north Vancouver, house in nova Scotia, flat in Edinburgh and perhaps a cottage on the Scottish highlands too :)

A vacancy has just opened up in my duplex. It's yours for $5000 a month.
Subject to references of course. I don't take any old riffraff. For a day trip anyway In reality, if we did win we would move to a Ajax lake fronted property and build up many many air miles for years to come. |

Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
I suppose it depends on how much the lotto win would be. I think we would buy a plot of land and build our own place in BC. Then get a few smaller places dotted round the world and rack up the air miles :)

Re: ...if you won the lottery where would you live?
A cottage in the Yorkshire dales, maybe around Goathland and a new build on our acreage 6 miles down the road here in Manitoba. We are getting the new build in the next couple of years anyway . Plus a block booking for 6 weeks per year in a penthouse at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson in New Jersey.
