We are taking advantage of the cheap flights on Icelandair in July. Has anyone flew Icelandair before?

Planes were a bit cramped but they were cheap. This by the way was back 15 years ago so things might have changed.

I flew to Iceland from Standsted with Iceland air to Reykjavik several years ago, it was pretty good from what i remember except the landing where cross winds blew the plane all over the place as we came into land (the international airport is right on the coast so the winds there can be pretty bad). My partner and I will be flying over to Canada with them soon they have a generous luggage allowance 23Kgx2 (for trans-atlantic flights) per passenger plus carry on 6kg. This is alot more than you can get with Canadian Affair not been able to find out how much excess weight is with them but hoping not to go over anyway.

I am booked up with Icelandair from London to Minneapolis via Iceland! Cheapest flight by some way, but I'd never even heard of them and not looking forward to the stop off in Iceland.

What a pity. Iceland is a beautiful country. Icelandair will let you have a stay-over of up to a week at no extra charge when you fly to Europe with them. I'm planning on doing so this summer.

I nearly spilt my G&T over the course title. You obviously did your homework. Very good

Even so, NYC as an undergrad. Highlight of my undergrad life was the odd bus trip to London for the day. All very glamorous....Did your Nan ever visit?

She'd often save up her old aged pension and pop over for a visit. She sometimes sat in on lectures as she had an casual interest in Pre-Socratic rhetoric. She would often give her own little talks on Longinus down at her local WI hall on Wednesday afternoons. Although I don't think she ever took Icelandic Air.
