Default I saw a BEAR

In waterton at the weekend. I'm soooooo excited, it was amazing but some people spooked it before I could get a decent pic.

Its fantastic to see a bear in the wild, isn't it! I remember seeing a black bear and a grizzly back in the days when I lived in Lake Louise.

(The feeling was always spoilt though when the bus load of Japanese tourists were trying to get a picture WITH the bear!)

I happened to look out the window at work sat and saw a bear meandering around outside. I live in Whistler so bear sightings are quite often here. There have been sightings and an attack recently of cougars.
I love seeing bears here, although I hate seeing tourists trying to get a close up, enclosing the bear or making it feel too welcome in town.

They have grizzly bears on top of Grouse Mountain plus they have a lumberjack show which is world famous.

Why thank you....I was very brave behind the safety of our truck

The little grizzly was on the side of the road, when we got there, there were several people out of their cars trying to get photo's with family members in the shot with the bear......

A park ranger pulled up and sent warning shots into the air to scare it back into the woods....he was a cutie.

Just 5 mins before that we had the privilege to see a mother grizzly with two baby cubs....it was quite a way off, so the photo's are not as good, but I was thrilled!!

Great that you managed to get a picture of it. I saw a black bear on the last day of our recce recently, we were driving on the highway from Kelowna to Vancouver and OH had the fright of his life when I shouted "There's a bear!!!!" and pointed across him to where it was on the other side of the highway. Nearly took us off the road, but it made my day!
