I need a 'no repeat workday'.........NOW

Have radio stations here never heard of the 'no repeat workday'!!!
If I have to listen to Natasha flippin Beddingfield one more time today, I swear I'll hurl the radio straight out the window

Any one know of a decent station in Edm, other than heavy rock or country, that doesn't play the same stuff day in day out ?

Help................<desperate stay at home Mum, with not enough CD's and who has to have background music>!!!!!

Unfortunately not going to happen.

CRTC mandates a certain amount of "Canadian content" hence you get to listen to the same thing day in day out.

Possible solution get a "Satellite Radio" but that will involve paying a subscribtion fee for whatever radio stations you choose.

Sirius Satellite Radio Canada

XM Satellite Radio Canada

Cheers
Steve

Your lucky with the radio stations you have.

When I lived in Hanna, Alberta we only got Christan Radio.

I assume you have broadband and you can listen to any radio station around the world.

Never fear, you don't have to suffer so! Try www.lastfm.com - it works like an on-line radio station without the ads and cheesy announcers. YOU choose the music by typing in a band/artist you like and it plays you a string of stuff they think you might also like. It's dead cool. It also introduces you to new bands etc.

Tried to alert BE members to this a few weeks back but no one was listening;)

If you get airtunes from Apple, you can put a pair of speakers upstairs and listen to what's on your computer downstairs.

You can buy a cheapo little gadget from "The Source" that plugs into your speaker socket on the PC and transmits the sound via FM radio. It's preset to 88.1fm. So tune you kitchen radio into the appropriate frequency, your computer to the internet radio station of your choice and Bob's you mother's brother!

This is the thing: http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Pr...roduct=2610510

I use it for Radio 4 when washing up!

Cheaper than airtunes! They're illegal in the UK, but the law is being changed ;)

Funny that, I live in Scotland and listen to a Toronto radio station http://www.999mixfm.com/

Mad Dog and Billie host the fab weekday breakfast show. I have met them and they are really upbeat and provide lots of laughs. :D

Whatever is a "no repeat workday"????????

BTW doesn't your cable have the various music channels so that you could have 24/7 music in the category you choose? For example, there is a channel for Classical, R&B, Jazz, Oldies, etc.

You could try one of those $30 radio transmitter things that are supossed to be used for picking up your mp3 player tunes on the car radio. That has workrd for me well enough to pick up the tunes on the computer on our living room stereo.

Just plug it into the audio out on the sound card, and recharge the batteries as necessary.

edit: D'Oh, AX got there before me.

Hi R2D2, try 92.5 Joe FM. I've only listened for a few mornings on my way to work but it seems ok. Mixed bag but pretty easy listening!

Oh well worth a try! Things are going well so far, I've found myself a job, in your neck of the woods actually! My office is just off Baseline road. It's a really friendly company and I'm settling in well. Beaumont is great, and we love the house! We've made a friends and feel a bit more at home now. Isn't it wierd how the weather changes around here?! seems like yesterday I was sunbathing out on the deck and now can't leave in the morning without my big coat!

Wait until Winter. I remember one time, February I think. Hubby was out washing his car on the driveway on the Sunday, wearing just a long sleeve shirt, and by Thursday it was -25
